A huge, huge thank you to everyone who voted for me!

232 votes is a really good result – even if it doesn’t get me a seat on the council or even a deputy spot, a trustee role is likely ahead! And every single vote helped secure the continuation of green politics in Helsinki, even though we did lose some council seats.

It’s been an amazing five weeks of meeting people, talking green politics, sometimes debating very divisive topics, and just enjoying going around the city and being outside in all kinds of weather. My fingers are cracked from the dryness and my face is windburned – but I wouldn’t trade a moment of it (well, maybe a few)!
This was my first candidacy and my first election campaign, but I have a feeling it won’t be my last. Thank you!
